My Most Regretable Thing So Far

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Dear Friend,

How is it going for ya? I hope everything’s cool.

I want to start this post with some ‘negative’ notes and I promise, by the end of this, it’ll turn positive.

You know, there’s a lot of regretable things that happen in my life. Some could easily be dealt with and forgotten but some had grave consequences. And I want to share one of my own with you here.

Hope you’re all ears.

It got to do with my Online venture. It got to do with this domain - karungwang.

You see, as time goes by, as my knowledge and skills accumulate over the years, I regret that I didn’t do my venture right from the beginning.

Heck! I didn’t set the fundation right BEFORE I begin.

After finish reading ‘Day 3′ of the Affiliate Masters Course by Dr. Ken Evoy, I realized that I didn’t set my venture.

Ditto when I read his Make Your Content Presell.

I could not remember what I was thinking back then but right now, I know it’s incorrect. It’s insufficient. And it’s plain regretable!

If I knew back then what I know now, there are possibilities that I’m more successful.

What’s the thing that I’m deeply regret?

Not doing my research thoroughly.

I focus mainly on how to monetize my venture which supposed to be the last item on the equation C–>T–> P –> M.

How I wish it was different back then…

So, I hope you learn from my wrongdoing and step up with the right foot forward.

Get you RESEARCH done and do it thoroughly.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU’VE DONE IT RIGHT?

I’ll keep the diagnosis plain and simple.

When you find yourself ‘not struggling’ to add content…

When you find yourself ’smoothly’ add another income stream…

When you find yourself ‘easily’ attract people to your site…

When you find yourself ‘not a bit worried’ about the latest software, tactics, or overnight success strategies…

…You’ve done it right!

I congratulate you if you can tick ‘positive’ check-mark next to the things that I just mentioned :)

I personally find it a struggle to add content and add new income stream.

I hope that doesn’t happen to you. Really.

WHAT’S THE BEST THING FOR ME TO DO?

If you’re in my shoes right now, what do you think would be the best way for me to handle this?

Is it best for me to flip this domain and start all over again?

Is it best for me to leave thing as they are and just move on?

Is it best for me to leave this whole thing entirely and do something else? Going offline maybe?

What do you think would be best for me?

I know, after consulting a few friends, most suggest I leave thing as they are and move on.

They said,”It’s no use crying over spilt milk.” I heard them. And I’m thinking hard about it.

History had also shown that many successful Webmasters had build more ‘fail’ websites before building a truly successful one.

I know about it.

And I’m thinking it hard.

Like Ken said,”It’s better to PREPARE than to REPAIR.” How blind I was back then…

Maybe ‘karungwang’ was meant for other market or other segment. My suspicion is maybe it was not meant for English speaking folks.

Clearly, my research back then was not thorough.

It’s time for a change.

And a BIG one too.

What do you think?

I Did It Again

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Hi!

I did it again…

But this time it’s my biggest ‘it’ so far. And I’m talking about my website.

I wrote elsewhere that if given the choice between hosting type, I will go for Unix/Linux hosting platform, and not Window based platform, like this blog’s hosting.

Karungwang Linux Platform

Well, last two days, I sent out an email to my webhosting company, asking to CHANGE my hosting platform. In my email, I indicate that I’m willing to cough the transfer cost. Guess what… the return email from them indicated that the transfer was at zero cost.

And I was very happy to learn that, until…

I need to do data back-ups, files back-ups, and what-name-you back up and I got headache just looking at those files being tranfered in my favorite FTP Program.

I realize that this is a distraction to my current project but LONG TERM, weighing the risk-banefit, I believe I’ll be better off. Now, I have more option to script that I can install there. Windows based platform have SEVERE limitation to script installation.

I don’t want to be upset anymore. It’s my turn.

And if you’re having difficulty accessing any files from my domain, don’t be alarmed because I’m working extra fast to take care of it. This is temporary.

I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
